Movin’ On Out

If you’ve been wondering at all why I haven’t been posting at ALL lately, it’s because we’re in moving mode. I’ve barely even convinced my mom to keep the internet on so I can still use my iphone. On top of all the moving, I’m still working and planning a little thing called VBS (it’s really not little at all). So to say I’ve been busy is an understatement. I’m a bit stressed right now, but there’s only a few days left.

My mom just left to pick up our dog Izzabelle, who I haven’t seen since like, Christmas. I’m super excited, but it’ll be short lived since I’m not moving with my mom.

My sister’s cat had her kittens finally, three healthy ones and one that was still-born. She’s turned into quite a little mama, but we hope they’ll all survive the move in four days. It’s a long one…thankfully, they’re only going to Colorado Springs and not California. I’m sure Stephie will be super happy to see her baby again.

On other news, I’m starting a new video project for the local television’s first Video Awards. I really want to win because I could soooo very much use that $250. Like major. I’m saving up for a Macbook Pro of my own.

I haven’t been posting ANY of the pictures from anything, so I will in a few days. There’s even stuff from before the 4th that I have to share. But here are a few pictures from last weekend at Meghan’s Sweet Sixteen Party.

Prom Post (Part 1)

I’ve been delaying this since last Saturday. I wanted to be able to have all versions, including my friend’s. Instead, I just decided to put up my version and later add hers in multiple posts (you enjoy that).

So here’s us, getting ready for prom. Took us a few hours (that’s apparently normal). Let me explain something to you. We live in a town with only one high school (and it’s also attached to the Middle and Intermediate schools…aka 5-8th grades). This means that even freshmen are invited to prom. Some are stupid enough to do dinner, pictures, after party and all the first year and ruin their Senior years. I held off last year so I could enjoy Junior prom for the first timeas a junior.

I was also the only junior in this bunch, but it was pretty fun anyways. I wouldn’t ask for a better group of friends.

Instagram Prom

This weekend was incredibly amazing, and I’m still too tired to post about it in full so I’m just going to leave some of my favorite photos of prom night.

Travel Buddies

I’m on my way down to the Springs right now. And seriously guys, this is going to be the best weekend ever. I can’t remember the last time my whole family has gotten together (and for my birthday, geez that’s awesome). Here are some things we’re planning on accomplishing this weekend:
  • Gathering supplies for my party next week
  • Bowling
  • Family birthday party
  • re-pierce my lip (no one can remember when I had it, so I wonder how they’ll react)
  • see The Vow again because really, it’s that awesome (no matter what Noelle says)
  • hit up Chipotle (it’s been so long)
  • order some Panda Express

Family’s Wacked!

(A Long, Overdue Family Weekend Post)

Hide and Go Seek – Kaitlyn’s under a shelf that’s only 6″ off the ground…silly girl!

Coming out of hiding…

Hiding from Steph (my little sister)…there are 4 people under my desk…

Out of the movies…it was COLD!

Umm…Rachel?

I have a family full of wack-oes and weirdies. But I love them all. Especially because I’m just as wacked as they are. Every time I go back to Colorado Springs, I have to see my cousins and sisters. It’s the only reason I go (that…and actual civilization)!
The last time we went back there, I got to see them every day of our 4-day long trip. We showed up Thursday night around 11, went to bed, and the first thing the next morning, Rachel showed up for a day of catching up and movies. That night, Kaitlyn, her sister, came and we all went out for a bit of shopping. We wrecked havoc at Ross, Dollar Tree, and Michaels. Honestly, these people can find fun wherever we go (I’m surprised we weren’t kicked out of the stores). We’re loud and like to touch a lot of things. You know the people you always glare at when they come storming in late at night in a quiet-ish place, well…we’re those people.
We went to the movies after storming the town. I bought Rachel and me tickets to New Years Eve and the other three (Kaitlyn, and my sisters Bekah and Kat) went to see, I think, We Bought A Zoo. By the end of the movie, after twenty minutes listening to a woman say she was going to “throw up” on Rachel (long story) and singing loudly to the song at the end credits, we all went home.
The next day, Rachel and I watched show after show and pulled a movie marathon, then we went out again to see The Vow. And holy shit, people! If you haven’t seen it already, please do (and don’t listen to anything Noelle says…it was great!). It was beautiful and I actually liked how they shot it (ever since I got into film, I can’t look at a movie without judging its shots, acting, and story).
Sunday, we went over the cousins’ for a change and watched some pretty rocking movies, watched my uncle kick my cousin Josh’s and his friend’s butts, and ate some really good pizza. We got home around 2 in the morning and I stayed up until four, so that I could sleep in the car. When I woke up at 10, I found out I was tired for no reason because my dad wanted to leave at 12 instead of 6 (which was planned). Lame!
I got back at around 10 at night and went straight to sleep without doing any homework all weekend. I know, I’m just that smart. But all in all, it was one of the best trips this year. And I can’t wait to visit them again for my Spring Break (in April, which is stupid cause NO ONE is on break then).
Thanks for listening to my rambles,
Kristie
