Stupid Life

Last year, I wasn’t even thinking about college. My sister graduated and it wasn’t that big of a deal. Now all my friends are graduating tomorrow and I’m like freaking out. Not only for them, but about me too. I’m not going to be a high school soon. It’s like the nightmare of growing up is rubbing itself in my face (nasty). My mom’s not even freaked out. I am. I hate growing up. I hate that you think you never will then it’s like PSYCH! you’ve been aging this whole time. And now you gotta leave your parents house and get a real life that is not high school. This sucks! I feel like I’m a senior already. That’s probably why my grades slipped majorly this last semester.

Internet. Bam!

Okay, so I’ve had the frustrating experience of having my internet go out again and it’s finally back on. It feel so good to be able to actually do things now. It’s like a weights been lifted off my chest (I know, dramatic). You’ll be seeing a lot more of me, but right now I’m busy enjoying the rest of my internet. See ya!

Fail

Wow. I’m pretty much a failure for not posting here for the last few days. My minds in a wack…I can’t really remember what today’s date is right now. All I know is that it isn’t school. EH…

All the Juniors were gone on Thursday and Friday on a field trip to “bond with the eighth graders”. It was totally lame so I decided not to go (I’m a junior) and ended up being the only junior there besides Jon (and he was only there on Thursday). So I basically spent my time in the halls chillin’ like the seniors usually do. I liked not having any classes (basically).

It’s mountain film this weekend and I have a pass (score!). But today I didn’t get to go because I had to babysit and the buses don’t really run on the weekends. I don’t know why THAT makes any sense. But tomorrow I’m having a full-out movie day with my friends and it should be fun (if they ever text me back).

Do you notice that I’m just saying a bunch of random stuff that don’t really have anything to do with each other (and that I’m using a lot of parenthesis)? That’s what happens when I’m tired, bored, and haven’t updated in a while. Just to let ya’ll know.

Dude. It’s freaking windy lately. But it’s nice because I could really use the coolness right now. It’s only 68 out but that’s hot because I’m not used to summer weather yet. It’s always cold up in these here mountains (not always). It’s  a stereotype, but sometimes it’s very true.

Good Night Books

ImageImage

I remember, when I was little and sharing a room with my sister, Bekah, she used to read me this book every night before we went to bed. She’d only read a chapter or two and we never actually finished the book (well…she did on her own time). And I wanted to do the same thing for my little sister. I was only about 7 when this happened, so I’m a bit behind (Steph is 11).

But last night, I started reading Treasure Island, one of my all-time favorite books, to her. I asked her this morning if she’d even heard or understood any of it, and she actually did listen. She was caught up on the physical descriptions of the “captain” and totally digging it.

I found it yesterday on our shopping trip in this small little used book store. I fell in love with the old cover and had to buy it. I also bought another books from the classic section, but can’t remember the name right now.
